Title: Out of site out of mind
Post by: Beavertooth on June 14, 2016, 08:17:08 PM
My motor ran hot the other day and blowed my 4 amp fuse on my LT70 with 62cat engine. Could not figure out why it got hot. Put another fuse in it and cut a couple more hours with no problem. Ran hot the next day after just a short time running. Ron at Woodmizer asked if I had checked the fan belt. No I had not. You would think after nearly 4000 hrs and 9 years of having the mill it would dawn on me to check it. But no never crossed my mind. It is out of site where you don't see it and so out of mind at least my mind. It was so loose I do not have any idea how it ever ran this long without getting hot. A good 2 to 2 1/2 inches of slack. So for those of you as absent minded as me check your fan belt if you have not in a while or like me never.  :-\ :-\
