Title: water question
Post by: LeeB on June 30, 2016, 02:13:58 PM
Since installing a water softener our water seems to have a lot of air in it. Can this be cause by the softener? We are on a well and I really don't want to think it's a water level problem.

Is your pump in the well or in the house?

If you didn't have it before and you do now then I beleive the system causing it.

I have a water softener too, I've found if I bypass the water softener then go back to it I have some air in the system for a few days. It may just take a few days to purge the air from the system.

I don't know what brand or model you have, some of the units we sell add air at backwash to help break down iron. Most iron filters use this technology, some of the softeners also use air injection. It can be annoying but doesn't mean you have an issue with your system.
