Title: Burning Blue Spruce?
Post by: Timberwerks on November 12, 2004, 01:01:55 PM
I got a fair amount of Blue Spruce dropped of today (maybe a face cord worth) is this any good for burning inside or is it more a camp firewood? I took it because it was on the same load as a large Elm.

I burn lots of spruce in my stove.  Long as it's half way dry, it's good fuel.  It doesn't compare with hardwood, in terms of density (and so BTU per piece) but it's heat. :)
