Making Cheese from Moose Milk (http://www.joe-ks.com/archives_jul2004/Moose_Cheese.htm)
Farmers in northern Sweden are milking moose, hoping that cheese-lovers with deep pockets will develop a taste for moose cheese.
It's healthy and tasty - and very expensive (nearly $500 per pound) because moose milk is hard to obtain.

We have something we call moose milk but it sure never came from a moose

Swede.
Poor Swede,
I knew you'de cop out on us. :D
;D cheers :)
Don´t know if I told you this story..........
There was some mooses on the field outside my workshop, went out, hide behind a continer and started to sound like a he-moose. A young she-moose lifted her head and listened, started to move in my direction. Some steps every time she heard that sound.
When there was just a small conainer + 10´or so between us I had to tell her I am a human. She wasn´t intrested anymore but turned around and run into the woods.
Swede.
Pretty scary stuff :o
poor moose ;D :D :D :D
Never mind milking those domesticated moose, lets see some pictures of milking those "free range" kind. :D :D
You can hold the bucket. ;D :D :D
SwampDonkey---Are you going to take care of the other part of milking? :o
Warm your hands up first ;D
Sprucebunny:
That position is still vacant. Any volunteers? ;D
Not me!! I make a point of staying away from the back end of animals that weigh more than a couple hundred pounds.
;)
:D :D :D :D
That stuff just aint right! :o
I would love to see how they get the moose in the cage :D
The HECK with all you "moose milkers". Have Y'all forgot that the Swede is SINGLE, and he's out there calling SHE mooses ??? HMmmmmmmmmmmmm :o;D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
Fla_Deadheader
Did ya overlook my response to that? ;)
Run away little she moose :D :D :D :D
:-[ :-[ It's late, I'm tired. ::) ::)
FlaDeadheader, you southern boys ever dealt with a real live MOOSE. These guys are dumber than a brick and have a real bad attitude
Just when you think you'ved lived long enough to see just a bout everything.........................(https://forestryforum.com/smile/Wow.gif)
I don't think I would like milking mooses. I remember when I was a kid and had to go out and milk the cow at 4:30 in the morning before going to school and it would be cold and I would be about half a sleep it was nice to cuddle up to the warm side of ole bessy whhile sittin down. I'll bet an ole moose won't give you 5 gallons of milk at one setting like ole jersey.

Ebay bidding Ends at $28K for Cheese Sandwich
GoldenPalace.com, an online casino, confirmed that it placed the winning bid, and company executives said they were willing to spend "as much as it took" to own the 10-year-old half-sandwich with a bite out of it. ??? ??? ??? ??? ???
I seen that on CNN this morning. Must be alot of over paid customers that need help spending it. ::) :D :D
I read somewhere that butter and cheese were first accidentally manufactured by the Mongols (or maybe the Cossacks, I forget). Seems the HORSE milk in their goatskin bags soured (cheese) or separated (butter) as they rode across the steppes. Naturally someone had to tast the results. " Attilla, come over here and taste this for me. I think my milk's done gone bad!!" :-X :-X
Swampy and Fla._Dh. !
I´ll tell You out of my exterience: The difference isn´t THAT big, telling a woman or a she-moose you are a (regular) (hu-)man. ;) In both cases you´ll be a free man and I´m a bad lyer. :D
Swede.

I´ll rather face the back end of a moose than front end. They use to try to kick and climb you down with their gront legs. Some of them has antlers too!
Have seen many mooses but noone ran away backwards. :D
Swede.
Swede
I guess I was thinking about horses and cows that will kick you with thier back feet.
Other things can happen at the back ,too.!!
I see moose quite often ,they just stand there and stare at you. They don't scare me much but I wouldn't want to try to cornor one and fool with it's more private areas :D
No one has been stomped by one around this area ,....yet.
Sprucebunny:
Just have to be more careful with the shovel and the wheel barrel and stand clear when you bring the cattle in from the out doors. That's when things ermmm kinda let loose in the barn for those first few moments. Never fails. Been there, done that. :D :D
The only "buffalo" or "moose" milk I would be willing to try.
1 oz White Creme de Cacao
1 oz Galliano
3/4 oz Vodka
2 oz Milk
1 tsp Grenadine
2 tbsp Vanilla Ice Cream
1 1/2 oz Whipped Cream
Blend ingredients (except cream) briefly with half a glassful of crushed ice in a collins glass. Top with whipped cream. Serve with a cherry.
After a couple of these, you'll be bellerin at the moon too.
Now that is the kind of moose milk I was referring to. Got to try that one.
