Title: lumber strength books
Post by: sjh on November 26, 2004, 04:00:39 PM
My building inspector needs to see the strenths of the white ash I am using. He has no info on hard woods. What kind of books can I get that shows different types of hard wood strengths?
Thanks
Scott

Hi Scott

Go into the 'Tree and Plant ID' section and click the opening thread (a sticky topic) and click on the link 'Click Here' and it will open the Hardwood Manufacturer Association's site. On the left  hand side is a 'click here' link with strength and mechanical properties of hardwood species. You'll need Adobe Acrobat Reader (file type PDF) to open the file.
