Title: The Best Rebuild Kits for Stihl?
Post by: ReggieT on December 12, 2016, 08:50:49 PM
Looking at replacing one for my 034 Super...and thinking I'll just hook up with a 036 (same bore/stroke) slightly different look.

There is a ton of el cheapo's out, but I seriously want to make this my personal go-to saw.
I hear that Meteor is tops in pistons, but Mahle is tops in cylinders, heard Foresters were good?  :o ::)

I used "Easysaw HQ Nikasil" cyl and piston kit on my 044. I believe they are made in Italy. The parts looked high quality and the saw runs great. It was 99.95 on Ebay.

Thanks guys.
Wound up going with Meteor piston & cylinder kit.
Been traveling and haven't sank in wood yet, but it sounds like a beast taz-smiley...036 slapped right in.
Got to get a bar n chain also.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
