5.9 cummins just seized up and wondering how big a chore to pull it. Any words of wisdom on the subject much appreciated. Looks like torque converter needs to come out with motor. Does cab and radiator both need removed or ?????
I regard the engine and convertor as a unit on any earthmoving equipment, including skidders. So if I'm rebuilding/ replacing the motor I'll always pull the convertor down at the same time.
It might appear unnecessary work to some, but I sleep easy at night knowing its done until next time, and I've never had a convertor issue on a job.
Dunno about a D with Cummins, but my old B's with Detroit's you pull the radiator and the whole lot will come forward enough to lift out.
