I am looking for information about the soft wood market in Ontario. I have a lot of white, red pine, spruce, balsam and poplar. I want to start cutting but the local buyer/trucking company is working on a big contract and has been difficult to reach. I am cutting firewood for the next month or so, but I want to work on the softwood when I am done. I know I probably shouldn't cut any pine pine beetles) until I have a buyer.
Anyone have any contacts? I am just east of North Bay.
Rob,
Have you talked to Goulard Lumber in Sturgeon Falls ?? They buy and process white/red pine in Sturgeon Falls, and will also likely be able to set you up with a trucker who has a self loading truck. If you're doing your own cutting, once it's at the landing where the truck can access it you're good to go !!
If you want numbers or contacts call my cell and I can help you out. 1-705-471-4038

Thanks Kieth
I will be calling. I am off this week end so I will probably call then.
