hi all, my uncle and i are looking into a CAT 518C. single arch grapple. 28lx26 tires. does anyone know whats the width is on these? its 4 hours from us and i am going to look at it tomorrow. just curious on its size tonight is all.
also we still love our Timberjacks. i wont ever give up on those tractors. just looking for a grapple to add to our fleet.
he had a 1976 518 cable in the early 2000s and it was good but had 18.4x34 rubber, and then we got hard up and had to sell it.
just curious on width and if anyone had anything to say about the cat grapples.

my 89 518 with 24.5 is 10ft my other one is an 81 and has 23.1 and is 9ft 6in none are a c that chart is wrong (it says 8ft 2in if I read it right) or my tape is wrong or they sold me a 7ft6in trailer instead of a 8ft 6in one :D :D
with the 28l's you should be around 10 feet

11 feet.
are they 28ls on there mills
9'7" I measured it today. thanks all.
Tires in the picture are 43x25's. I have a spare set of 28's, but have never put them on. They're really good on soft ground and when siding a hill, but pull hard on tight turns. Nimble definitely doesn't come to mind. :D
