Title: Ford industrial 201cid diesel?
Post by: Chop Shop on September 01, 2017, 12:17:25 AM
I have a ford 555 backhoe with a 201 cid diesel and it may need a new head/block for an overhaul.

Anyone know what other machines used these engines?  I would like to find another to rebuild.  Tractors? Gennies? Compressors? forklifts? etc?

Is there a series or name that these engines are referred to?

I have a 1969 Ford 4000 tractor with a 201 CID 3 cylinder.  Currently the engine is being rebuilt.  Ordered all the engine rebuild @ 40 thousands over pistons & rings.  Cylinders had to be bored.  Yesterday's Tractor had everything I've needed.  They also have some good Forums there.

Anyone else know anything about these engines or run one?

Another fella was telling me that they get pinholes at the bottom of the cylinders and can have the lower portion of the block filled with epoxy.
