Measurement Canada reminds wood dealers to use the proper measurements when selling firewood. The only legal units of measure for selling firewood are the cord, the stacked cubic meter, fractions of a cord or cubic meter, and the cubit foot. Illegal terms include short cord, face cord, apartment cord, and truckload. For information, contact Roland Burdage, volumetric and mass specialist, Atlantic Region, at 902-426-8573.
