Title: Mighty Mite back to life
Post by: cbailey1956 on October 05, 2017, 07:56:21 PM
Well finally got it up and running.  Took longer than I thought but always does nowadays.  Cut a pine log yesterday and then spent the rest of the day doing mill alignment.  Had to take both drive shafts off and free up the bearings on the shaft so they would slide on the shafts for alignment.  Anyway today went through several 12 inch logs getting it all aligned.  Now it cuts a straight and even 2 - 8.  Made some 2 by 4s for a garage project then called it quit.  No marking gages / setworks   as it sits.  Plan to work on that tomorrow.  That edger blade with its 11/32 kerf sure eats it up. Main blade is 9/32.  Did cut nice though and that's what matters.  I still have a logosol I used 10 years ago to build a small shed and this is so much nicer.  Just have to get educated on setwork measurements.  On to a roof for the thing before the first snow.

Glad to see you are up and running. I like my bandmill, but sure wouldn't mind having one of those or a MD to go along with it.
