Never been down under, but I used to know a couple of guys that had claim or what ever they called them there. They would go over for a few months a year and made a living at it. I did get to see some of the gold they brought back. It was not a claim like I normally think of, they would hire a dozer to come in and skim a few inches off of quite a few acres, then spend several weeks going over it with metal detectors, when finished, they would bring the dozer back in and start the process all over.
WA is hot, that's all I can tell you :laugh:
The people making the big money are the companies that have big open cut mines running.
