Title: Looking for Recommendation
Post by: NECutter on January 05, 2005, 08:37:59 AM
Hello,

Can anyone recommend a comfortable pair of chainsaw chaps?  What are people using?  Brands?  What do you like about them?  Etc.  Thanks for the advice in advance.

NECutter,  Our Safety Forum sponsor, MATSIF, offers Safety Chaps on their website. MATSIF insures many many Michigan forest products industry companies and only provides quality safety products.  Members of MATSIF get a discount, but the products are available for purchase to anyone in the U.S.  You can order and pay by check with them.

Our company uses Stihl brand chaps, for no other reason than I can by them localy and prefer to do so when possible.  They where descent and we have had no problems with them.  I think they are around $50-$65 something like that.

I use and love Sthil wrap around chaps. I'm sure you could find the same thing with out the name cheaper. I feel more protected etc. and I also bumped up to the nine ply versus the six. Big difference in weight etc. but I can handle a few extra pounds rather than losing something useful.
