Title: 1970's Pettibone Super 8 CaryLift 8000 lb cap.
Post by: forrestM on March 07, 2020, 12:39:29 PM
I HAVE READ, UNDERSTAND AND AGREE TO THE TERMS OF POSTING AN AD ON THE FORESTRY FORUM

I am selling my pettibone super 8. I have had it for a year and it works great, just too big for my space. 8000 lb capacity, big forks with bailer. Hydraulics work great. Runs well. Has continental flathead gas engine.

new spark plugs
new oil filter
fresh motor oil
fresh hydraulic oil (~ 30 gallons)
new hydraulic spools for tilt, lift, boom, and bailer,
have a seal kit for one of the bailer cylinders that weeps a little bit, but haven't installed yet

started to sand and paint rusty parts.

weighs 17,000 lbs so you will have to arrange to have it moved.

located in sperryville, VA.

Make me a reasonable offer!

Sorry the pictures are upside down.

Thanks,
Forrest

Would be nice to have the extra 2000 lb capacity over my super six pettibone but I just put a bunch of work into the old girl to keep her running so I can't jump into another machine now. Gary

Maybe this can help; I just picked one up for $2500
Would you happen to know a source for a manual or sheet of specs.  I see ~30 gals of hydraulic oil - Wow!
How about trans fluid?  Type/amount?

Thx

Mike

I paid $2700 for my super six about fifteen years ago. I use universal automatic trans fluid  in mine fromTract. suppl.
