Title: VERY plesed with my KASCO blades
Post by: kelLOGg on March 14, 2020, 09:43:53 PM
I have pulled 3 blades from the shipment and they are in various stages of cutting, setting and sharpening. I have been cutting pine logs with them and the first thing I have noticed is that they are more flexible any of the 3 brands I have used in the past. There is no sign of gullet cracks in spite of rough treatment (hitting steel and accidently knocking the blade off the wheels by backing up prematurely) and several sharpenings. I am amazed the teeth can be so hard while the body is so flexible. I am pleased with the straightness of the cut. I expect longer life from them before breakage. They are 4 teeth and my sawmill has a 16 HP engine. Did I mention I am pleased?

I have Kasco 7 blades on my 40Wide and like them a lot. .055's...they cut well. Only had one break after 3 sharps.

Well, I got long life. My first breakage for a Kasco band after months of use. They are human after all.
