I am thinking about changing the fluid in my 208 timberjack skidder.   Just wanted to know what others are using in their machines.  I run mine mostly in the  winter and fall.
I have some TDH fluid left from changing the tractor fluid but not sure that's the best for the skidder.
Thanks

You can put regular ATF fluid in and run it year round buy it in a pail at walmart. Guys did it around here for years  :)

I would use a AW-32 hydraulic fluid, you could use a TDH but thats more expensive and not needed for a TJ208.

I was thinking of Aw 32 and AW 68  hydraulic fluid,  If they have better water diluting properties then transmission fluid.

I think AW-68 is going to be too heavy a weight for winter use.

Whats a good all year weight to use in canada then ?

I use shell tellus 46 year round.  Its pretty stiff in when the temp gets down below zero etc.   Warmup for fifteen minutes or so and good to go.
