Fancy gas

Do any of you fellas use the fancy premix gas with no alky.??I got a jug of it I'll try,do you add anything to it like stabil or sea foam.?? Jug says 50/1 synthetic.Do you normally need to adjust the carb.?? Frank C.

Got 4 qt cans from Baileys free with my last chainsaw purchase.
Only used 1 qt so far with no adjustment of carb and no apparent bad effects.
I put no additive in it.

 I buy non-alky 90 octane fuel then mix it myself. Most good oil has stabilizers in so I don't add any more. As far as adjusting carbs I keep a screwdriver handy and adjust when needed sometimes once a day sometimes more. A few weeks ago I could not get  my MS440 to run right so I quit using it and checked it out when I got home. A new fuel and impulse line and it now works like it should.

A couple of years ago, I used about two gallons of it that I had purchased, with good results. Since I can get non-ethanol mid grade now, I went back to mixing my own. The pre-mixed was a lot more expensive, even after factoring in the price of me buying the oil to blend my own. One advantage I see is that it has a longer shelf life.

Stuff works fine, 046 Stihl thinks its ice cream,no adjustment necessary. Frank C.

No need here as both stations in town sell 91 without crapola in it.    Steve

I'll admit I bought 2 bottles of Stihl's Motomix before I found gas stations with non-ethanol gas but with Stihl's Motomix costing $8.00 for a quart around here I figured I could mix a gallon on 89 non-ethanol fuel with Stihl Ultra for $5-6 compared to the $32 for 4 quart bottles of the Motomix.  Been mixing my own ever since.
