Call your county forester and ask them to send you the primary and secondary wood using industry directory..When you get it start calling you will find several places that will want your wood. LARGE & small orders. thats how I did it .

There is a place n Zanesville Ohio that sent me a price list of what they paid for rough cut by grade and species. I cant remember the name of it but I think a little investigating I can find it if you are interested.

What kind of production are you talking about?  Small lots are going to be tougher to sell.  Not impossible, just tougher.

Who's going to do the trucking?  We sell some of our lumber to Baillie out of Buffalo, NY.  They have a kilns and concentration yards in Ohio and Pa.  I believe there's one up around Titusville.  They pick up.

Go talk to other mills.  Some of them will actually tell you where they sell lumber.

Thanks for the help I did what Ron suggested and talked to some local mills and one that I know the owner of for a long time gave me some insight and a phone # for a place about an hour away from me. So it is a good possibilty I might become a fulltime sawyer.

Her's a link which has a listing of quite a few secondary processors.  http://woodpro.cas.psu.edu/Wood%20Industry%20Master%20List.xls  It will take you a while to get through it, but probably worth the time.

I sold a couple of loads to Hyma Devore out around Pittsburgh.

Mann & Parker used to have a concentration yard somewhere in the western part of the state.

Don't forget about cutting ties, and you will need a good blocking outlet.

You can send your ties to burke parsons and bolbie in DuBois Pa.  they will take any size losd you want to truck in If you call thier office they will send you a copy of thier gradeing rules and a price list.  one nice thing with them you normally have your money within one week of drop off.

Meridian Hardwood in Warren Pa will buy small loads of ungraded lumber.  where are you located at I'm sure I can find you an outlet for you blocking in your area.

Troyly Lumber in Connellsville buys mixed loads of graded or ungraded lumber, even in small quantities. Their number is 724-628-7221. Their grade is good but pay is kind of slow. I move a few bundles through them every once in a while and get treated pretty good. A lot of local portable mill guys sell just one bundle at a time to them.

Frickman, I have been in contact with them and they said they would buy from me and told me to come and spend a day with their grader to get abetter idea of the grades.

Thanks everyone who is trying to help
