It's not fine woodwork, but its functional. Going to insulate it and put a heat lamp in it.

That is a pretty small doghouse.  It will be hard for you to squeeze in there.  If you do manage it, I would love to see a pic  :D.

Jake, your hound hotel belongs in the timber framing section.  :D
Skip the heat lamp... with insulation, I thinks a flashlight will warm it nicely.

I'd skip the heat lamp as well. We have fiberglass calf hutches, and with just one calf in there they are comfortable all winter long.

I used ridgid insulation and I think I wrapped it too. The wrapping was to just to keep the wind out. I use to be gone for about 14 hours in my past job.

How can you be thinking like this....... you are supposed to still be in the honeymoon phase.    :)

Suggest insulating the shop and putting in sink and toilet depending on the anticipated level of "not happy". :o ::)

It's not the prettiest thing in the world, but the dogs seem to like it. I put a 150 watt light in it for heat. They always try to lay in my planer shavings in the shop so I just bagged em up and put em in the dog house.
Screws.......... $5
Insulation...... $18

Great job!  Gives new meaning to 'Lucky Dogs'!

I built a nice insulated house like that for Miss Scarlet, but she ended up just sleeping in the leaves.  No gratitude  :).
