Does anyone know of a pesticide that will kill ants that i can spray on my wood?  The wood will be used for firewood so I need it to be safe to burn.  Any help always appreciated.

If the wood is dry, I am of the belief that the ants will leave. I good cover over the wood pile will keep it dry enough that ants won't want to be there.

Ants, IMO, are a good indicator of wood that isn't dry.

In my experience ,ants use cellulose in the proccess of raising young....I have often found them in bone dry lumber.....if I dont use sevin powder on wood stord outdoors they will get in it
SEVIN powdwder will work for ya!

To save my recycled wood outhouse from ants we used a powder that is basically diatamatios earth with sugar in it.  Diatamatios earth is basically microscopic glass shards that do bad things to bugs when they eat it but won't hurt larger animals like us.
Puff it on the ants and their trails and holes and they should disappear in a week or two.

Borax disolved in water and then sprayed on the lumber and ground around the lumber.
