Yeah, it's true! ;D

The DOLMETTE - Chainsaw Dragster Bike exists.
(see picture dolmette1.jpg)
The engineers from DOLMAR created a gigantic dragster motorbike with 24 DOLMAR chainsaws engines. Base was the fabulous PS-7900 with 79 cc. The power output could be rised from 6,3 hp to 7,1 hp. So the DOLMETTE have 170 hp over all!

The 24 engines were connected over the standard clutch by 12 drivebelts. To avoid the overload of the Harley-Davidson-Gearbox, the drivebelts were also used to reduce the maximum engine speed from 15000 rpm to 4300 rpm. At the gearshaft the engines are wrenching with athletic 400 Nm!

:P Furhter informations about the DOLMETTE, the idea and other things are available on

www.dolmette.com or
www.dolmar.com

On the Website
http://www.dolmette.de/html/bilder/dolmar_320x240.swf
(Attention, download of 8 MB !)
you can see and hear the DOLMETTE during the test run on the contidrom.

To proof the concept, an experimental vehicle (cart) was used.
The cart was equipped with one module of 3 DOLMAR PS-7900 engines. Because of the tooth belt for the connection of the 3 engines worked very well, it was decided to use 8 of such modules for the DOLMETTE engine.
