So I was working on removing the pressure treated 2x6 on my in-law's deck with some long pry bars, when I thought there has to be a better way. Then it occurred to me, my Logrite cant hook! We all know how great they work on logs. Well I tried it and it worked great. With the pry bar I had to work from the bottom all hunched over. With the 48" Logrite I was able to stand on top of the deck and work upright! Here are some pictures.

I can change my profile okay. No errors. If you can,t remove all the extra info in other fields and try.

I wished I had thought about that when I replaced my hardwood floor last week.

I can see once you got the board started there would be no problem with the tip sliding across the deck boards. But did you have any trouble with it slipping when you first started lifting a board?

Maybe Logrite could make a special tip that would drop into the gap between deck boards. That would open up a whole new market ;D.

A peavey point stuck in the crack works fine for that.  ;)

I had no problem with slipping. The leverage was so great that the tip crushed into the adjacent board. I think a peavy would be too pointy and would get stuck in the wood. Screws would be no problem ,they would pull right through the wood. Some of the nails stayed in the joist and pulled through the decking.

Course you know I'm just kidding you but, did you score any brownie points with them?
Give me a new saw chain and I can find you a rock in a heartbeat.

Good thinking, they generate a bunch of power with all that leverage. I hope my dentist doesn't see this. :o

In a pinch when my backhoe bucket ain't handy, I've used a Logrite Cant Hook as a bead breaker on tires.  :)  For obvious reasons, a Logrite Peavy might not be da best choice for this application.   :D
