Last Friday I went to a Lite on the Land logging demo.  This was the second year for the show, they have manufactures come in and demo some equipment and they have workshops about different managment practices for woodlot owners.  It was a pretty interesting show.  There was even a demo of some horse logging.  I took some pics, but I'll put only put of one of the future forestry log arch.

Plowboy,

I just noticed your from Mazomanie. I was wondering if Wishbone Woodworks is still in operation? It was run by Scott Stokes. I had talked to him back in the eighties about the solar kiln he had developed and was marketing. He later sold the design to Woodmizer. Woodmizer no longer markets that style of kiln anymore.

Also, did you happen to get any pictures of the horses?  I'm in need of action pictures of horses pulling logs while in the woods.

Thanks, Brian...

Plowboy, we really appreciate your sentiment in not wishing to belabor us with more pics. However, being the benovolent bunch that we are, we would be willing to look at the rest of the pics, if it would make you feel any better.  ;D

DanG, I'm glad you've finally stopped sugar-coating every thing you say. It's good to here you vent once in a while and say what you really feel.

p.s. I agree, more pics would be tolerated.

Sorry guys I took a lot of pics of the log arch because I want to build one somewhat similar.  I also took some pics of some water diversions for logging and field roads.  I ran out of room to get any pics of the horses.  I need to get a memory card for the camera.
Wishbone Woodworks is still around but I think it has changed hands and has scaled back some.  We used to buy lumber from there, before we got into milling.

Here is a simple water diverson installed on a logging road.

Thanks for the info on Wishbone Woodworks and good luck with building the arch  :).
