It was tricky getting these knuckels out of the bush,
My 1 ton Is only 2 wheel drive and with snow and Ice under that
plus the weight on the trailer 8)

Im not sure how Im going to mill this big one...how would you do It?.  My skid steer was maxed out lifting it.

It was cut last year but still solid

I may need to get a big bar saw on this and wittle it down.

My skid steer will pick up 6500 I think, and I could feel It.
Im surprised I never hit the fender when lifting it on.

Maybe some tables and some turning blanks
I have 2 like the big one and one smaller crotch about 34"
It should have some decent figure In It...but I see a lot of work to get it ready for the mill...I better check the lt40 manual and see how much It can lift.
Its about 8 feet long and about 50" on the big end

You need to move to a warmer climate! Its way too soon for all that snowy mess! Great looking tree, I'm sure there is some stunning stuff inside of that ball on the end. Good luck!

Tree Dan, What kind of skid steer do you have that will lift 6500 pounds?

woodjunky

Tables and turning blanks. Sounds like a great plan. Maybe you could take some pictures while you slab it up? Show us your strategy on a chunk like that... Looking at this, I wouldnt know where to start???
