The clutch hub on my 66, the part that the clutch engages, has separated the outer part from the inner gear that the sprocket slips over.  When it happened I thought  the clutch broke.  It appears the 2 parts are soldered, so I sanded the old solder off and cleaned it well.
My question, is this normal solder or something else? Can I resolder these back together using an acetylene torch without ruining the parts?  I tried with propane and the mass is too big to get enough heat into the part to draw the solder in.

I have done it, with success, using brass for solder and borax as flux. (That is how they do it at the factory).

Thanks to both.   If the part gets too hot with acetylene it will shrink as it cools and no longer fit over the bearing so a new part procurement is in order.   >:(
Just saying....      (new saying)    ;D

Chainsawr had one and it's been ordered.

It shrank?!? Maybe mine did too. I had to polish the bore with some emery cloth on a cotter pin.
