Thanks yawl 8)  Redoaks mightve said that I didnt put enough stickers in each row lol  I found that out with some of that maple.  I had my pallets more setup for spf lumber and I ended up throwing some hard maple and oak up there and the maple moved a bit on me.  Then again its getting alot of sunlight throughout the day and its in a high wind flow valley
Boy, back in my day..

I have pallet forks for our 10ton wheel loader, which is great for when out and about.

When sending timber home we have an old 10 ton hyster at home (18000 pounds?) so will lift 8 tons.
Use it for big stacks/unloading trucks and moving containers and stuff around, big beast.

And an old fordson tractor I paid $1000 for that is a forklift conversion, gets stuck like any other forklift.
the true smaller forklifts are great because they can get in and out of the small spaces.

The fordson came first and has proved the most useful for around the stacks and kiln at home or now moving gear around...

Cheers

4X4 the first forklift I ever drove  was a diesel Clark that looked identical to yours, 16000 lbs rated. When it would get stuck it was STUCK!  :D :D Don't ask how I know  ::) ::)
Just an ole farm boy takin one day at a time.

I've been considering a compact telehandler. Seems to me it'd offer a good bit of versatility if outfitted with quick connect grapple and forks. Benefitts I see depending uon the model are decent capacity (5-6k pounds ), reach(15-19'), 4wd, crab walk, side shift.

Only trouble is someone needs to buy my bucket truck before I can get myself outfitted with a telehandler.
