They do a lot of that here on crown lands, mostly to clean up the low grade logging debris and yards. Mainly hardwood tops. They aren't chipping the main tree trunk unless it's hollow. Makes for easier planting and thinning. Of course there is still sites with lots of wind falls, but can't change that.

I'm not that good at logging but Im alot worse at video editing!! Lol
This Chipper has two motors on it...a c13 running 450hp and a c27 running 875 HP. Michigan Boy here!!!

I absolutely love to hear those big Cat chippers spool up their turbos. Seeing the exhaust flappers stand up straight and when they get into sometime big, the turbos screaming and some smoke rolling out. Just epic. Love diesels
