Mac Hodges and his 20 foot b29 has been famous in the world of rc air shows. Sadly, this plane was recently crashed and Mac has decided not to rebuild it this time. Models like this are incredible. Theres a B29 of this same design right here in Wichita, KS. at different stages of construction, an aircraft this large (over 50 lbs) has to be inspected and certified just the same as a full scale plane.

Hate to hear it crashed.  The X1 drop and spin demo were really cool!   I wonder if baloons crashed the B29 like the killer drone?

Left outboard engine failed just as it lifted off. It banked toward the crowd but Mac had just enough power with full right control throws to go over the crowd before it crashed. There's a Youtube video. Lot of armchair pilots criticizing Mac.
