I was contracted today to saw power polls. I have heard bad things about them. But, the customer convinced me there were no nails. I arrived at 7:30 and was sawing by 8. They were big polls, some 16" on the small end and all a little over 18' long. The polls cut easy. Ran into no metal, and ended up with a little over 6000 BF in 9 hours. They have done this before and said they never came close to this amount. I run a TK 2200 with a diesel. All in all it was a great day. I will try to get some pics loaded in a day or so. I know it didn't happen without pics.

The best I've ever done in a day was about 5000 BF of Southern Yellow Pine in approximately 13 hours with two guys working with me.  The next morning We sprayed it with 50/50 bleach water mix with a pump sprayer then stickered , stacked and built a makeshift roof over it and that took us from 7 Am till 3 PM.
So we had a total of 20 hours in it and the customer cleaned up the slabs, saw dust and the rest of the mess.
We then still had to pick up tools, service the mill and unload the truck and put every thing away when we got home.   And we were not wasting any time, we were hustling.
How many guys did you have working with you ?? smiley_divide smiley_swinging_board smiley_huh2 smiley_gossip headscratch
Time and Money,  If you have the one, you rarely have the other.

The Path to Salvation is narrow, and the path to damnnation is wide.

We were cutting three sides and leaving one live edge. They were 1 1/2" thick. I had 3 guys helping me, one on a bobcat and 2 off bearers.

Sound perfect, 2 taking off those long ones and one feeding the monster.  Did you have any trouble with stress on those long ones , most that I've sawed have stayed pretty flat. Steve

The boards turned out perfect. I tried to buy some but, they use all that was cut.
