Our home is 2500 sq ft. It is 2 story with the walk out basement as the garage. Any help is appreciated.

I do not know anything about the fire chief but we bought a heat pro a few months ago to replace a 12 year old wood furnace in one of our work shops .
The 4 speed blower really pushes the heat to the ducts .
The only thing I see is that being an epa furnace is that it does not use grates but instead firebricks 46 of them.
Time will tell but I am worried how long the fire bricks will last if someone drops or throws wood in furnace.
But it is also all about the wood ,we use seasoned oak, locust, ash .

Thank you for your reply Zeke. Where did you purchase your furnace? All the big box stores around me do not stock and can not ship. Thanks again!

We bought it from northern toolhttps://forestryforum.com/board/index.php?action=position"> Note:Please read the Forestry Forum's postion on this company on a Black Friday special
It was shipped direct from drolet in Canada to us.
I think it was around $275 shipping to our farm and we had a forklift availed to unload .The customer service at drolet is very good there was a few problems and they shipped out replacements right away.

I have never own a Fire Chief 1000 but I think you want to do some Googling. A buddy was looking at them there was a guy in his area that had some at a great price after some looking he passed.

Can't comment on either furnace, have a DAKA that heats my shop which is good, but have a Drolet wood stove in the basement, works excellent.  Was a cheap stove too.  Bought both from Menards, both on closeout in spring.
Most everything I enjoy doing turns out to be work
