You can cut a lot more lumber with a hydraulic mill 8)
I'm slowly getting used to all the switches , levers and knobs.
Had to slow myself down at one time.
Don't want to get to full of myself yet.

I read the two big manuals cover to cover last night.
I will do it again
There are lots of things to look after
I'm open to any tips, grease types and thing to keep on hand.
The turbo 7° seem to leave a distinct pattern on the boards,is this so?
Folks like my slabs for the smooth finish, should I get some 4° or standard 7° to try?
Thanks

If you are getting chatter on your lumber with a turbo most of the time that is a sign you are sawing too slowly. Try increasing the feed speed to the point you hear the engine governor almost wanting to slow down. Basically they want to run Full Tilt Boogie to be happy.

Try the turbo 7° Carbides! You will never regret it. Your over all blade costs because of reduced sharpen time and increased yield and cut quality will be much improved.

Run them tight. I max the gauge on those blades on my mill.

That is interesting Peter.

I do cut mostly spruce and pine with a bit of birch and poplar some times. So far I love em!

I have the same mill that you just got.
Woodmizer New York told me that the turbo 7 blades would work best for me in hardwood. But that I had to feed speed up with them.
I only saw in the winter when the logs are frozen .
In May Cody a woodmizer tech came to our farm and told me to try the 4 degree blades after he saw the wood I had sawed this last winter.
I do not know if this helps you but I will not know how the 4 degree work until I saw again this coming winter

Bruno of NH

Thanks Zeke
I'm ordering some 4° to try on the slabs
On framing and pine boards the finish doesn't bother me.
Folks always commented how smooth my slabs are.

I don't know if the harmonics of your setup make a difference, but turbos give me a good finish on all species. Fast feed is required.
