I bought a Spartan GoCam yesterday. Playing with it around the house it seems that tall grass and leaves moving in the breeze will trigger a photo even with the sensitivity set to "low". The sensitivity at this point would appear to make the camera useless in a field application.

I am new to this. Did I miss something in the setup; is this a common problem or do I have defective motion sensor that is overly sensitive?

About a high setting? I have no idea, but I would try it.

I have learned to remove stuff that could be moved by wind and trigger the camera.  200 beautiful pics of honeysuckle vine that draped over last year.

Yes, most cameras are sensitive enough to pick up the least movement of anything in their view area even rain drops and snow flakes. Like what Timberking said, moving some of the easy wind blowing vegetation, etc. out of the camera's view area helps decrease some excessive photos.

Also setting your photo interval take up some helps.

Thanks for the replies. So far I have found my settings were taking timed photos in addition to the leaf/grass movement. Also appears they(Spartan) are having an issue communicating with Android phones at the moment and my particular camera/service needs 4G to operate properly. 4G is a sometimes thing here. According to the manufacturers forum the AT&T version camera will work on 3G. Too much tech. AT&T works at the farm but not at the house and log yard. No real high speed internet option locally. I really wanted the camera more for security than game photos. Maybe someday lol.
