Hi guys. It's been a long time since I posted mostly because my eyesight has gone downhill to the point that I can't saw  accurately with any consistency. Large font size is my friend.....and all I can read.
So what about the WM setworks? Is the display big and bold? Can a legally blind guy read the  display? It would change my life if I could get back to doing something productive. Any feedback from users of Setworks? Thanks
If you  don't know where you're going, you'll probably end up somewhere else!

Wolf,

I'd suggest you check the sawyers in your area listed on the FF who do sawing for the public or the WM Pro Sawyer network in your area and get in touch with them and ask to come observe their systems. I'll be real surprised if you don't find several close by who would love to have you come by. Then you can look at their systems and see if it works for you or could be modified for your needs. Good luck.

A trip to a fair or farm show where the mills are demonstrated is another option to evaluate the setworks display.  To say "big and bold" is relative.

The display characters on my SimpleSet are black on a light gray background.  I'm guessing the characters are at most 1/4" tall.

Could a magnifier be mounted to see the setworks display?  You might want one on the scale too?  I'm thinking it wouldn't be difficult or expensive.  The drawback would be sawdust accumulating on the lenses and frequent cleaning.

Two thoughts come to mind.  First, call WM and see if they could adapt a larger display onto the system for you as a solution if the stock one does not allow for a big enough font.  They make many different set-works for re-saws, Euro machines, etc, I have to think they have a solution sitting on the shelf.  If that does not work perhaps @Ga Mtn Man has some thoughts as he has done quite a bit with some of these systems.
