40 hp turbo charged Lambardini Wood mizer LT 40 mill was idling and timing belt broke I may need a kit and tools to re-time the injector. How many guys know about this if it's worth it or if somebody's got another motor cheap I'm in Northwest Pennsylvania helping my neighbor I used to work at Perkins diesel he said the engine was just idling and quit and now it has no compression I doubt that it slam the valves enough to bend them etc. but who knows. He either wants an engine or we can get a Kabota 40 horse engine but needs the mount or I need a good place to get the rebuild kit and tools and parts that might stock them if any of you know. Thanks if it's got to be rebuild and probably the one that's going to do it for him LDW 1204 TB2 3000

A diesel that hasn't windowed the block is almost always worth messing with as even cores can sell for 4 figures.

I don't think it matters that it was just idling, the belt broke and it's an interference motor.

No compression means damaged valves.

The engine is probably toast.     I sent a shout notification to @MartyParsons
