@realized Next thing you know the Camero pictured to the left will be a Super Bee or Charger!  Not bad either!

I bought a Ford F250 Diesel 4x4 for hauling.  Here in east Texas they don't seem to have gravel for a good price and my pre-retirement home is 2 miles from the largest gravel pit in Texas so I haul gravel in my 16K dump trailer when come I over here.

For chainsaws I bought Husqvarna 460 Rancher, T435 for limbing, and their pole saw for pruning cleaning up lower branches.  I switched over to Oregon skip tooth chains and bars as they cut much faster.

My wife bought her first pickup about 2 months ago and she chose a 2019 Dodge Ram 1500 classic.  I have to admit the interior is much more comfortable than my Ford.  But my Ford can haul heavy loads and not grunt.  Averaging about 18 mpg on diesel and have put almost 80K miles on it since I bought it. She had a Ford Edge and hated it.

Ha - I have to draw the line somewhere and Mopars from the '60's were never my favorites to say the very least!
Too big, too tinny, and too boxy, but they did go down the road despite all of that fairly well.. :D
That Camaro just went to a new home, as far West in Canada as you can go before you need a boat, a couple of months back and part of the return for it interestingly enough went into the new RAM.
The Camaro never really got used much - I'm sure the truck will though!
Wish I realistically could hope or expect the truck to last as long and end up still looking and driving as good as the Z 2/8 did after 50+ years! :)

Used to be brand loyal, not much anymore. I have come to realize life is too short to have blinders on  all the time. Currently have a 2003 Chev Duramax and a 2012 Ram 1500 for trucks, both serve me well. Looked at Ford when I bought the Ram, deal was just not there.

Bought most of my saws lightly used, currently have Stihl, Husqvarna, Dolmar and Echo in the lineup, pretty much all pro models. Only saw that ever gave me much trouble was a Stihl but that did not turn me off of them. I confess to not being a fan of their "flippy" caps.  Every company makes lemons now and then.
Livin the dream!

Not so brand loyal either. I haven't had a Dodge pickup since around 2000 it got stolen and never found it was a one ton diesel replaced by a Ford diesel. Have own a lot of  Chevy gas pickups years ago. Currently have a Ford F-350 and a Ford F-150. Saws have Stihl Echo and Makita. Run the Stihl's the most. Wife drives Jeep Wranglers you couldn't take that away from her.

Ford trucks. An 01 350 7.3, and a 19 250 gas. I started with Ford trucks in 87 when it was the best deal at the time. I stayed with them because they're the most comfortable for me, after I get running boards on. All the years with the town for the most part they held up better. Granted, part of that is the 30 different drivers. And, because it going to happen no matter what you drive, they're the easiest for my mind to work on. Some part of that is probably from only ever working on Ford cop cars. One saw is a 30 something year old Craftsman, the other is a brand new Husky Rancher. Both of those are because that's what was available when I needed it

I believe in the hereafter, because every time I take two steps into the tool crib to get something I wonder " what did I come in here after"

If nothing else I'm always a good last resort or the guy to hold up as a bad example

mad murdock

Ford all the way.  Have an F150 and an F350. Saws- Husky, though my all time faves are McCulloch. I have a 395XP am 390XP and a372XPW. All full wrappers, though the 395 does permanent duty as the prime mover on the sawmill.
Turbosawmill M6 (now M8) Warrior Ultra liteweight, Granberg Alaskan III, lots of saws-gas powered and human powered :D

Samandothers,  You reckon they would have a large truck to help me haul some more home ?

I think you could keep an old Ford running forever if you could find the parts .Then not too long ago the Chinese  tried to buy all the scrap steel in the world and nearly did .Now days it's kind of a job finding anything rusting away in a salvage yard to rob parts from .To add to that some of the salvage yards aren't there any more, they crushed every thing ,gone, poof .
The owners became rich over night and flew the coop to Florida .They might have hidden the money in the Cayman Island and now just sip Corona beer that is so nasty you have to put a slice of lime in it to eliminate the nasty taste as they sit on the beach in the hot Florida sun and slowly turn into raisins . :D

Snap

Nothing but Chevys here since '47. Current Tahoe is 12 years old and has not had one problem or need other than tires, brakes and one battery. Husqvarna and Stihl ride in the back but considering a baby ECHO.

At one time or another I've owned Jeep, International, Chevy, GMC, Dodge and Ford trucks, all full size pickups, but now have Ford. I've owned a few brands of saws but now stay with Stihl. They've all made some winners and all made a few losers.
Stihl 041, 044 & 261, Kubota 400 RTV, Kubota BX 2670, Ferris Zero turn

Cub

Fords and stihls. But do have an old chev truck simply because it's my plow truck n does what I need it to do. Not to vehicle specific. Just needs to do what I need it to do.

I currently own a Chevy and drive a company dodge truck. Both ride better than my last ford f150. But neither will carry a load like the ford. I don't think a guy can have to many sthil saws.
TK 1600, old logging equipment,  sthil chainsaws
