Cookie Mizer looks like a neat attachment and lord knows i sell a ton of cookies each year and would have loved to buy one for my Lt-10 mill.  Problem is Woodmizer does not offer it for their own Lt-10 sawmill. Took me several emails and a phone call where i got transferred from sales to technical support and back again to eventually find this out. They list "other" as an option when you go to buy it as mill type so you get the right mounting kit, and even state in their ad it fits other mills than the ones listed, but unfortunately their own Lt-10 is not supported. Not very happy with that and may have to make my own version similar to it. I think this is a mistake on their part as this is a perfect use for a smaller Lt-10 mill and virtually all the log slices aka cookies is sell are 12 inches or less in diameter.

I made my own about 5 years ago.  The WM version is limited to about 20 inch width.

John S would you have any pictures of what you made you might be willing to share. I have screwed a board to the logs then clamped board down, but always wanted to make something easier

Thank you lasershark. I have a pipe clamp version i made years ago i would screw log to square piece of wood because clamps got better grip on the base then, plus screwed base down to bunk to further prevent log ejection. Was looking to take it up a notch...maybe even use air cylinders to clamp log in place and make things a bit easier and quicker to rig

Looking at the cookie mixer for $500 to me seems like a great deal I know you have to add shipping but 130 pounds of steel in the crazy economy does not seem out of line.

I agree the price is very good. That is why i was disheartened they did not have and LT-10 version. Would have ordered one in a heartbeat

I have been looking at the CookieMizer for my LT 15. Is it possible to set up with one end elevated to give a biased cut on the cookie. I have some call for cookies cut like that for moose antler mounts. I have cut a few of them with the block screwed to a piece of plywood and one end elevated to give me the cut I desired. I just haven't built a fixture yet. The CookieMizer looks like it might work in this capacity if I elevated one end.

I think if you bucked the desired angle on one end of your cookie log and placed that face at the bottom of the cookiemizer, you would get what you afe looking for.....

That's the way I cut my ovals. Cut the log or limb or whatever at about a 30*- 45* angle, clamp it in the regular clamp on my mill and start sawing. One thing I learned when sawing cookies is always go give the log a good shove before starting to saw. You want to be sure it is securely clamped before you start sawing.

Oh sure. Just go ahead and make simple what I was trying to make complicated. ;D
Actually I have several big firewood rounds that were already cut square on each end. A customer noted some of the more interesting, gnarly pieces might make good rounds for antler mounts so I cut a couple as I described. I've had some interest in them and have saved several of the more interesting rounds and thought if one end the cookiemizer could be easily elevated it would save me recutting these on an angle.
