Now I know I've been out of the loop a while, but why B56 belt instead of a B57?  Does it pull better, because I've sure been wearing mine out on the drive side.  Now for those new blades, you going to keep holding out on all of us?  What blade have you started using? ;D

Finished the job with 6 hrs work yesterday adding another 1413 bd ft.  Totals then, 5097 bd ft 23.5 hrs for an average 216.9 bd ft/hr.  last 3 logs were the nicesest so made mostly 1 by along with 6 2 x 12 x 16 from the center of the largest.

I have been using B-56 for many years, and though they are very hard to put on I think it has givin me better belt and better blade life.  That is I don't have to replace the belts as often and seem to get more sharpens before blade breakage.  I stopped using water around the same time and just squirt a little 50/50 bar oil and deisel when I get some build up on the blade.

I use woodmizer .045 10 degree blades set for pine and buy them 15 at a time using regular shipping.  The box I ordered on june 22 cost $312 shipping included.  thats $20.80 each which by my recollection is less than the last box, though I didn't go back and look it up.

starting a little land clearing job for a local tomorrow, he wants another paddock.
