What are you using for a footage counter

I am wondering if anyone uses some type of linear footage counter on your moulder to keep track of footage. I'm trying to find a counter to keep track when I mill customers lumber but wondering if anyone else has found a good one that is simple to use  and can attach to moulder thanks for your help

Which moulder are you referring to here?

I have a surveyors wheel mounted on mine. The boards turn it as they pass by. Easy to know linear and square footage being produced that way.

Thanks southside I did think that might work and maybe that's the easiest thing to try.   I have a Ekstrom Carlson moulder if that helps
