Playing around with one I picked up today and stuck it on a 400c to try it out, dealer told me it kept track of info on the saw like hours and rpm but so far only seeing hours, which I can see if the dealer plugs it in, I could see the point on a older saw to have a idea how much use it's seen. Or as a business owner with a lot of equipment which is what it's probably designed for. Anyone using these things?

Not sure what hours and RPM tracking do for the saw owner.  It's not like you are going to change the oil or the bearings at a particular interval.  Sounds like a problem looking for a solution to me.

I wish they would improve things like gas caps and carberaters, come up with something that would handle todays gas.

So I'm told. What worries me is buying that and getting a mix .  The carbs might as well be plastic as white metal is a problem. Old engines with cast iron carbs don't mind ethanol at all.
