Northern Lights over Bond Falls in western UP of Michigan  April 2023
They were bright enough to turn the falls pink, cast shadows, and reflections.

Awesome stuff. I watched some last month that an Alaskan couple videoed when on an overnight winter tenting with skidoos. Danced across the mountains.

Last Sunday night and Monday morning they were visible across north Arkansas.  Said it was a level four solar storm.  I only caught a quick glimpse and they were faint.

Northern or Southern Lights are on my bucket list.

Would love to see it with my naked eye

We had the same here on Monday Night (Southern Borealis) but Ian and I missed it by about half an hour.   Who knows, maybe next time will be the one.

Interests revolve around my partners love of sawmills! - Hence being his NUMBER ONE OFFLOADER - Myself - I like the smell of sawdust. If I had my choice I would have BIG MACHINERY - who wouldn't want their own combine harvester and an 18 wheeler (Scania)

Like Lil said, we were late to the party and missed it  >:(

As the sun is going into a more active part of it's cycle the light shows should become more common of the next few years.

They are remarkable, I saw them as a pre-teen in Northern Alberta. For the best viewing get out in the country away from ground light of any kind. It improves the colors and clarity.

Pretty dark at night in Maple Valley Township✨.  Real good viewing.

Here in A-Town, I scarcely bother.

Nice view of Bond.  I ain't been in a while.

Good image of ground light Jeff - here's one of street lights shining down on bright snow and reflecting back upward on ice crystals hanging in the air. "light pillars"
Great shot of the falls Chet!
