I was sitting here thinking about some of the things the forum members have done over the last almost 25 years. We are in, our 25th year. So many things, but the one that came forfront tonight when I was watching a clip of Ted Nugent doing stranglehold.

This was 17 years ago, when youtube was so young you had to earn longer time lengths for videos, 17 of us came from over 1000 miles apart for an adventure on an ATV trip in the Huron Mountains of my beloved Upper Peninsula.

Lot of forum memories in those photo clips I made into dvds for all the guys. I put the rest on youtube in segments for the other members.
I used music I liked, so youtube gave me all kinds of strikes for them, but I dont care. Its Forum History. Some of these guys, including my best friend are gone now.

Here is part one.

I remember three special things about that trip, the many flat tires I had on my atv because of thorns, trying to cross the stream and going to the top of Mt Arvon.  I did not know that there was such a high mountain in Michigan.
Things turn out best for people who make the best of how things turn out.

That trip was awesome good time. Pigman was a real trooper putting up with the flat tires. But we followed member nailhead (may he rest in peace) around his many well-known to him trails at the most beautiful fall leaf color time that one could hope for. The river crossing was the time you found out if your ATV could float (or not).  ffcool ffcheesy ffcheesy

Thanks for the memories.

Peter, it amazed me the shacks that guys are willing to go up and spend a week or two in for deer camps up there.

Drove past the Yooper's tourist trap many times, though never stopped in to see the "exhibits". Pretty sure Big Gus is not an actual working chainsaw. ffcheesy

I have enjoyed watching those videos several times.  It's nice to put a face on some members and then wonder who some of the others are.  My only regret was not being there.

I think youtube stripped the audio from this segment, but an appearance by pigman still makes it worth it!

Pretty neat. Beautiful. Nice no dust ride. Out here you'd need a face mask.
