I hope everyone has an outstanding New Year!
What are you doing for New Years?
I'm praying to find optimism for mine. ffsmiley

I know where I don't want to be and what I don't want to be doing to start off 2025. ffcheesy

Nuttin' going on here.  Was supposed to have new tires put on PatD's car today, but I reckon that they did not come in because I have not gotten a call.

I'll build a flicker fire_smiley tomorrow morning and spend the day keeping it warm.   ffsmiley  My first sawing job for the year begins Thursday morning.

If the fall firewood I cut this year is dry and not dripping with water I plan on stacking some firewood under the porch. Other than that, lobster rolls for lunch.  ffsmiley

Hoping for good health for all in the coming year ahead. I had enough down time this year to do me for a long time. Blue skies and sunshine ahead.  :sunny:

Happy New Year!!!
May you saw straight lumber, the trees you cut fall where you want them too.
May all your twitches be good logs and the cable will always run true.
May you only saw into wood on your sawmill and found no metal in the logs.
Any problems you encounter be easy to fix and not cost a lot or cause long downtime.

That got our attention.  PatD said "shame on you for posting that".

Of all of the food that we have eaten while traveling, Lobster Rolls has to be our favorite!!

I believe that we were close to you in Grand Falls when we ate the above.  ffsmiley

Just sat here and watched a fun Christmas movie(see separate post).  Me and one of my cats were wresting she killed her prey (the wool sock on my foot).  All our horses are good (for now), but it's awful wet outside.  Got some Epoxy filling done on some burl slab pieces a couple hours ago.  I'll spend tomorrow doing more on the burls and hopefully building some plywood screw holder boxed for the shop wall and assembling some plywood cat stairs.

Is there any snow in central Michigan, or just wet and muddy like Indiana?
I don't think this one will make it to midnight.  Happy New Year!
Anything someone can design, I can sure figure out how to fix!
If I say it\\\\\\\'s going to take so long, multiply that by at least 3!

So far we are 18 hours into the New Year. So far it's been exceptionally  dull.  ffcheesy

Lara got home before me, She had been to a "camp out" party with her friends. Weather was crap, so they "camped" in the hay shed. What they forgot was they were on a working farm. and if you go to bed at 4am, they get the cows in to milk at 5am.  ffcheesy

Anyway, still better to have teens out on a farm and sleeping over for those parties.

Just home from work at 7 am.  frost on the windshield.  Only one really drunk person, but they were nice and polite, and sorry they wound up in our shop.  cheers.  nose began running and sneezing overnight.  "That which does not kill us, makes us stronger".  May God bless us all this year!

Went to bed about 10:30.  Slept fitfully, new knee still aches at times.  Forgot I went to bed last year when I woke up this year.
Hope everyone has an enjoyable New Year.
Lots of work lined up and many things to do.
Looking forward to Costa Rica.

Oh yeah, and shaved my beard for the new year, like the old days before BSA winter campouts drug it into last of February.

Happy New Year gang!

I cleaned up the shop a bit, I'm pretty excited about that, maybe I'll actually do some woodworking soon.

I also have a pig that I bought 2 years ago that parts of have been in the freezer, so I got a chunk of that out and thawed it NYE, stuck it in the crock pot yesterday all day long and made some pretty tasty pulled pork. For some reason, lately, I've had the hankering for spicy stuff. I tried adding some hot sauce to the liquid in the crock pot and it warmed it up some but I was afraid to go too heavy with it. Well, it didn't come close, so I'll have to try again. The frozen chunk of pork turned out to be a couple tenderloins but they pulled and tendered up pretty well. Probably dinner again this evening.

try adding the hot sauce to your portion to get it hotter to taste.   sketti_1
