fixing feed rollers?

I got a Makita 2040 planer and the feed rollers are worn out and they want $209 each for new ones. I was wondering if there was a place I could get some cheaper or get them
re-coated? Someone told me they can be re-coated that sounds like the cheaper route?

That sure is high $$. I've not seen your model, but my one sided 12 inch Trademaster was only $450 brand new. Be better off buying a new one if I had to pay that for replacement rollers.

Do a search on the web at Nextag.com or similar discount listings.

I did do a search on ebay and they have some planer blades for your model, but didn't see no rollers.

Thanks for the info.  I am going to call a place that might be able to re-coat them tomorrow.  The blades on it are ok just need a sharpening.

Theres got to be another source for those feed rollers, I cannot imagine paying that much money, for no more than it actually is. I think I could probally get the planer head for my Woodmaster  718 for that price :D

Acrotech and western roller both make feed rollers.  There is a company in woodquip that advertises recoating also but I can't remember the name.

Found the makita 2050 rollers for $105 at acrotechinc.com dont know if it is the same size but I am sure thay make them any size.
