...........wish I had 'em.

I was done. Tired. Ready for a frosty adult beverage. My mill shed has a 21' foot span on one side to let the logs roll in. When ever I am not sawing I put two 4x4 locust posts under the span to help support the waight of the span/roof.
I put one up, then turned around to put up the other, as soon as the second post was in place the beam lifted off the first post. It had a clear 360 deg circle it could have fallen in. Thats correct, right on the back of my head. While I laying on the ground examining the roof of the shed it occured to me that I had better install the steel "I" beam I have had all summer to support that roof before I do much else!
I had an ice pack on my noggin most off the night. Still have a headache.
Take care every one... its dangerous out there!

Sorry to hear that, mh. Hope you feel better.

Apparently , I have someone watching over me who has eyes in the TOP of my head ;D

Cut a dead tree, it hung up about one third of the way down, 5" branch 5 feet long broke off and landed right where I'd been standing  :o Don't think the helmet would have saved me.

Just glad to be here ;D

PS. Don't forget that leaves are slippery...wet or dry

The good news is, if you had eyes in the back of your head you might have two black eyes and a sore head.  ;)
