With so many good people here, you might not notice that I'm gone. But if you expect a reply from me, it probably won't happen. We're leaving at sunup.  :D I'll have a laptop with me in NZ for the next couple weeks but then we are going 'primitive' in Hawaii.  :D It might be March before I'm back, if I can handle the withdrawal.  :(

Just remembered! Gotta pack my FF hat.  8)

Have fun ;D

Den - have a great time.  My wife and I spent ten days on Maui last month and really loved it.  The islands are truly beautiful.

I'm jealous about NZ...

and a mix of log handling heavy equipment.

Den,

If you are stuck on Oahu, check oout Tantalus Dr. up the mountain above Honalulu. Go to the top to the bambo forest and hike out to the Pali Lookout. Coolest place so close to town. the bambo is dense up at the top near the towers but gets HUGE forest like near the Pali Highway lookout. Have fun! Reid

Got room for one more?

I don't eat too much and I promise to be quiet (at least most of the time).
Mobile Demension sawmill, Bobcat 873 loader, 3 dry kilns and a long "to do" list.

Have fun! Bring back lots of pictures!

So, how did I end up here anyway?

Just to let you all know that I have just met up with the Sockling mob (65mins) ago, Den has put on weight I reckon with all the good downunder food he has been devouring.

I noted in his last "post" that he was "outa here", and a footnote that he must pack his "FF" cap, guess what-HE WAS NOT WEARING IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!, If he was, I would have grabbed it as I have been pestering him for one for ages

Fantastic weather in Hawkes Bay, freezing up your way, Den Patti and Garrett want to immigrate to NZ I suspect

Has he been there long enough to lose that funny accent of his? :)
I can change my profile okay. No errors. If you can,t remove all the extra info in other fields and try.

Hi Jeff, Worse than that, he has cotton onto ours, kind of a mixture between the two, Kiwi and whatever he did have before he left the States, you just may be impressed (I think)!!!, anyways, it was nice to catch up again

Well he never returned
no he never returned
And his fate is still unknown

Tom

Hey look!  They're still using those brown glass milk bottles down there.  ;D

Jeff

Is that the nekid guy from survivor?

I thinks this post originated neared a slightly cooler climate according to my "spy on you" tools...

yep I've gone from 78'F to 28'F  :( and I see no way of ever catching up!

I have a gazillion pictures. The forest industry in New Zealand makes our methods (in the northeastern US) look primitive. Their projects are huge and long-range.

Hey Den welcome back but we NEED  ::) some pictures please  ;) ;)
