Welcome and I gotta say nice job on the pics in your very first post! I'd love to have a few of those to saw out right now. :)
I can change my profile okay. No errors. If you can,t remove all the extra info in other fields and try.

This is a great board and I'm glad to be part of it.  I'm actually just a weekend warrior in the essex county area. By the way that isn't my truck in my first post I have a local hauler do all my hauling.  I have been out of the woods for over 10 years and decided to get back into it a little this winter and found out just how much I missed it.  The land is my uncle's and it's about 260 acres.  There is certainly a mixture of species and actually I'm about to take out a small load of hard maple here in the next few weeks ( I mean weekends) since mills arent buying any pine now.  I posted a couple more pics of the jobs.

Here's my workhorse for getting the wood out.  JD 5300 with Farmi 501 winch.

Second landing used.

How much snow ya got left up there?   Almost none here.  Tourist Trout Season will be in full swing pretty soon.  :D

What's that white stuff on the logs and ground?  ;D

adirondack harvester

No, the snow is all gone and most of the frost is out of the ground now.  I need to get some hard maple out soon so I don't need a mud hole on my hands.

Here is a few more pics of this winter's activities.

Here's the best load of logs I cut.  Many 30" +

Yes, the majority was Wards.  I also brought some smaller stuff to some local guys.  I'm looking for some markets for hardwood.  Any suggestions?

How far are you lookin to ship? I'm not too familiar with the area I just visited wards on a college field trip. bailies (boonville) is quite a haul especially with fuel prices now.

Nice looking Pine... It looks like the trucker has 3  tier on the rig, how much can he haul in one load with that outfit that picked up your pine????
They look so nice on the landing and then when they load em and leave you get that feeling... well here I go again!!!!!

adirondack harvester

Yeah that is exactly the feeling I get.  All that hard work to disappear in 30 minutes--  it doesn't seem right.  Anyway, he averages about 8500 bf per load.  One time he actually got 9400 bf!  What a load.

Here's a pic of the first load they took out for me.
