Only real sawyers are milling when it is HOT and this humid

Only real sawyers continue to work after their safety glasses repeatedly fog up.

Only real sawyers grab their cameras after hearing the sound of steel on steel

Here be the close up for all the other real sawyers out there that just need to have a closer inspection

No really terrible damage but the mill has now been marked and I can get on with the business without the dreaded worry of when it will happen to me  :D

Bibby, do you see sawdust and grit on the mill?  I put it there just for you  ;)

I just noticed the date function on the camera had reset to the day I bought the camera.  Must've been the heat!  The pics were taken yesterday, 7/20/2006 at 10am or thereabouts.  Honestly, I swear, it's true, I wouldn't make something like this up!  ???

Last Friday I sawed 20ft. 8" x 8" oak bridge timbers for an old time logger.
One of the first things he did was look at my supports for saw marks :D

Not finding any he then asked " how long have you been doing this" :D

BBTom

I had to laugh out loud at Bibby's pics.  Had to look real close to make sure he hadn't been sneaking around my mill shed, but no,  I cut a little deeper into the my clamp than he did his!!  :D :D

Not hit the big flippy uppery clamp yet, have done the little one ::)

not really gone into the log stops either, skimmed over them a bit, but not straight into them ;D

Well, that answers that.  I wondered why they painted them things such a bright red contrast to the yellow and black.  ;D

Honestly, having read here so much about sawing the dogs, I am almost obsessed about where them things are all the time.   :D
