Fence post study

Not sure where this should be posted. I found it by accident and thought it was interesting. Note I don't think arsenic past is still available  :D

Lodgepole pine and WRC. Too bad they don't have Osage up there to have thrown in the mix. They last for generations. ;D
The oil is all in Texas, but the dipsticks are in D.C.

It's interesting to see what folks were thinking about and experimenting with in the past.

I remember reading a book on boat building that was written in the thirties.  They started talking about a new product that was going to revolutionize the boat industry.  I just knew they were talking about fiberglass, but when I turned the page I found that they were talking about plywood! :D :D

Plywood

Isn't that what Higgins, PT boats, and Mosquitos were made from in WWII?  I -was- going to use marine grade plywood for a project trailer, until I learned it was $80 a sheet!  :o

My Uncle told me that the only difference in exterior and marine plywood was that the marine plywood had no voids.
