Broke my Kioti payeur forester, tore the clutch hup away from the friction material.  Got a good trade from payeur and so getting this 2007 DK 40 kioti payeur forester

Looks good, what we can see.

Do you have a 'grown-up' picture of it?   ;D

It looks similar to the one featured in the article by Gove in the Nov '07 Sawmill & Woodlot mag.

Woodmills1,

Wow that machine is nice, your picture is better than most on the Payeur site.  Oops, 'got drool on the wife's computer screen again...

Woodmills,  nice machine,  I like the winch.  I have the Kioti CK25,  unbelieveable what this little tractor will pull.
For every mile of road there's two miles of ditch.

Yes, I went with the winch because the road out of my forest turns and goes up hill as I enter the orchard.  When ever it is slippery, from snow or rain I slip, even with chains and diff lock.  I end up unloading the logs then winching them one at a time.  Takes a lot of time and gets the nice clean logs dirty.

I should be able to use the front winch to help me up the hill.

The new tractor also has 10 more horsepower than my LK3054

I was always impressed by the way they have this machine set up for forestry work, I never saw any other farm tractors come equipped for the woods like these, they do it right.

However I was always a bit concerned about their choice of tractor manufacturer.  I see you noted yours fell apart in the clutch area, do you think your machine was up to the work required. I would have liked to see them use a Kubota and set it up for the woods. We gear up a tractor similar to Payeur but the last one I used cost about 3000
dollars to rig up with all the plating/guards etc...that was about 5 years ago....

I think the winch on the front is a real good idea, you could winch your tree to the road, cut to length and load it on the trailer... did that winch pull good????,  I guess you could keep from pulling the whole outfit ahead by lowering the blade against something when you were winching??

my Kioti clutch broke I guess cause I always ran it at 2600 rpm put the clutch in shifted and then let the clutch  out.  don't think it was a kioti problem more like a 30 horse being run like a forwarder all the time.  Payeur has rigged up a super duty hydraulic system set up on the new ones so the loader can be run at lower
rpm so i wont have to keep the RPM high all the time.  I just got used to keeping the lever throttle up high and never lowering it to shift and move.  My payeur/metavic trailer has a headboard winch I have moved many a tree with.  send me PM and I will give you specifics of my costs and trade in even broken.

Looks spiffy, I think I might look into one down the road when my tractor gets up in hours. Where did that come from again???

distributors payeur in sherbrook canada

they add oil cooler, skid plates, side and front protection, fops, weight balancing trailer hitch, and a fancy new link up that allows the power steering pump to work in tandem with the hydraulic pump when the tractor isnt moving.  My log loader is now much faster.
